Robert Brashier, Nellie Berry

Robert Wesley Brashier was the son of Robert Wesley Brashier and Kate Geneva Reynolds. He was born on 19 January 1924 and died on 23 June 2012 in Laurel, Mississippi. He is buried in Zion Rest Cemetery in Wayne County, Mississippi.

Robert W. Brashier, Jr., 88 years old, died June 23, 2012 at his home in Laurel, Mississippi. Visitation is at Memory Chapel, Tuesday, June 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Chapel with burial and Masonic Services at Zion Rest Cemetery in Wayne County.
     Mr. Brashier was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Nell Brashier, and his mother and father Bob and Kate Reynolds Brashier, his brother James A. Brashier and sister Mildred Davis, also a son-in-law Jimmy Cooley and grandson Chad Morris.
     He is survived by his three daughters, Jackie Hicks and husband Allen, Gale Cooley, and Beverly Burroughs and husband Bo, also his eight grandchildren, Donald Morris, Heath Morris, Jamey Cooley, Stephanie Robinson, Emily Green, Jessica Dees, Joey Burroughs, and Julie Gilliland. Seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to caregivers Shirley Sutton, Peggy McCarty, Faye Green and family friend, Eva Rae Shaw.
     He was a member of Heritage Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Brashier was a lifelong Mason having been raised a Master Mason in Shubuta Lodge No. 483 in 1942. He was Past Master and Trustee of Laurel Lodge No. 414 and served many years as Treasurer. He was elected an Honorary Member of John Henry Wooten, Sr. Lodge No. 503 in 1993. He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Member of the York Rite having received the Knight of the York Cross of Honor in 1961. He was a life sponsor of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation and a Shriner. He was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star and served a Worthy Patron three years at Laurel Chapter No. 24. Mr. Brashier was active many years in the Order of Odd Fellows in Laurel. He loved his family and enjoyed his Masonic work throughout his life.
     Officiating. the funeral will be Rev. Ken Regan, Rev. David Hagan and Bo Burroughs. Pallbearers will be Donald Morris, Heath Morris, Jamey Cooley, Joey Burroughs, Jamie Robinson and Brad Green.

Nellie J. Berry was born on 26 June 1930 and died on 9 February 2009 in Laurel, Mississippi. She is buried in Zion Rest Cemetery in Wayne County, Mississippi.

Gale Brashier was born ???. She married Jimmy Cooley. She birthed a child: Jamey.

Beverly Brashier was born ???. She married Bo Burroughs. She birthed a child: Joey.
