most of her lift and a member of Owen's Chapel United Methodist Church.</p>
<p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Wilner Quimby and a
grandson, Austin Sidney Blanton.</p>
<p>Survivors include: her husband, Lewis Berry of Repton, AL; a son, Tim Berry
of Lenox, AL; three daughters, Darlene Blackmon and husband, Tim of Range, AL,
Judy Rainey and husband, John of Wetumpka, AL and Wendy Blanton and husband,
Mark of Repton, AL; and seven grandchildren, Quimby Croley, Nikki Matthews,
Chris Rainey, Coty Blanton, Chastity Blanton Turberville, Blake Blackmon and
Cole Blackmon; and three great-grandchildren, Kiley Turberville, Karson
Turberville and Rhett Blackmon.</p>
<p>Memorial services will be Friday, March 22, 2019 a 10:00 A.M. at Owen's
Chapel United Methodist Church in Repton, AL with Rev. Buddy Williams
officiating. He wrote 3 books, created 3 newsletters, and was a sought-after management consultant. Bill was very active in his local community and was a member of the Abington School Board and Abington Free Library Board, as well as Township Commissioner of War 11 from 2004 to 2011 and President of the Abington Township Republican Organization (ATRO). He founded several non-profit organizations, including the Helping Hands and the Buy America Foundations.</div><div> Bill was the devoted husband of the late Betty Lou Lynott, and is survived by daugther Linda J. After his discharge, he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in education from George Washington University.</div><div> Charles then embarked on a distinguished 38 year career in federal government service, beginning with the Department of the Army. He was selected for service with the National Security Agency and then the Department of the Navy where he became an expert on personnel management.</div><div> In his boyhood, he was an active member of his neighborhood Boy Scout troop, spending many vacations with the troop at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, Va. Charles was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Arlington, Va. for many years. During summers, he was active with the St. George Episcopalian Chapel in Tenants Harbor, Maine, where he served as the chapel treasurer for 18 years.</div><div> Charles, also known as Buddy, grew up near the railroad lines in NE Washington, D.C., and developed a lifelong love of trains, maps, and travel. He spent much of his leisure time reading, a passion he passed on to his children and grandchildren, whose activities he followed with great interest.
