Memorial services for James G. "Greg" McNeil, 54, of Quitman, MS, were held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bo Bankston officiating.
Mr. McNeil passed away Wednesday, August 1st at the Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. He was born January 11, 1964, in Mobile, AL. He was an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his parents, James F. McNeil and Ollie Marie Dean McNeil; sons, James R. "Jimmy" McNeil and wife Sara, and John Kenneth Welborn and Wife Lesley; grandchildren, Emerson McNeil, Aubrey McNeil, and Marylynn Welborn; brother, Scott McNeil; and niece, Autumn McNeil.

Avie June Day, 86, of Shubuta, MS, passed away on August 1, 2018, at Wisteria Manor. She was born on June 16, 1932 to Thad and Neva (Loper) Cox in Crandall, MS.
Avie June was a lifelong church pianist and a pianist for the community.
Avie June is survived by her husband, John Robert "Bud" Day; daughters, Edith Davis (Albert) Elmore and Jane Davis (Terry) Pitts; sister, Eloyce Mosley; grandchildren, Terra Pitts and Taryn Pitts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Neva Cox; grandsons, Bryant Davis and Billy Davis and brother, Billy T. Cox.
Visitation was held Saturday, August 4, 2018, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Center Ridge Baptist Church, Quitman, MS.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 4, 2018, 2:00 pm at the Center Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Dewayne Crane officiating. Burial took place in the Center Ridge Cemetery.
