Graveside services for Mrs. Christine Gordon were held Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 2:30 pm at Enterprise Cemetery with Rev. Taylor Wallace and Rev. Wayne Hemmingway officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gordon, 88, of Enterprise, MS, died Friday, November 21, 2014, at Golden Meadow in Shubuta, MS.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Lee; granddaughter, Christina Lee King; great grandchildren, Tyler Gordon King and Christin King; sister-in-law, Sarah Hambrick; and nephews, Phil and Eric Hambrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gordon; mother, Alma Hambrick; and her brother, Dewey Hambrick.
Pallbearers were Terry Moseley, Scott Moseley, Todd Moseley, Tyler Gordon King, Jim Stockman, and Michael Efring.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Eva McCord Layton, 84 of Stringer, MS, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Specialty Hospital of Meridian in Meridian, MS. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, MS. Burial followed in Matthews Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Cooper officiated the services. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs.
Mrs. Layton was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.C. McCord and Troy Ishee McCord; her husband, James Layton; three sisters, Pearl Moss, Nell Dykes, and Effie Hill; five brothers, Earl McCord, Burl McCord, Luther McCord, Milton McCord and Burdette McCord.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley McLain of Hattiesburg, MS and Steve Aaron of Pasadena, TX; her daughter, Janet Pack of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
