NEWPORT NEWS - Phyllis "Pinky" McCaskill, 71, passed away on February 10, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Newport News and worked for What a Burger for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Robert E. McCaskill. Survivors include three daughters, Valarie Forrester (Chuck), Lynn Heath Miller, Amanda Heath Houston; sister, Joyce Freeman; brothers, Jimmy Branch (Jeania), Don Branch (Scott), five grandchildren, Kenny, Jessi, Tyler, Brandi, Kirsten; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Tuesday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m.
