Services for Mr. Grady Thrash, age 75, were held Saturday, January 6, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Thrash passed away Wednesday, January 3, 1990, at Veterans Hospital in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanore Busby Thrash; four sons, Joey Thrash of Shubuta, Jerry Thrash and Jeff Thrash, both of Corpus Christi, Tx, and Tyrone Wells of Brandon, Ms; two daughters, Jan Repsher and Judy Repsher, both of Waynesboro; one brother, James Thrash of Hiawanee, Ms; three sisters, Katie Ivey of Shubuta, Mary Jones of Laverues, Tn., and Mattie Callaway of Meridian; and 16 grandchildren.
George Frederick Therrell

Services for Mr. George Therrell, age 95, of Quitman were held Monday, January 1, 1990, at McGowan's Chapel. Burial was at McGowan Cemetery.
Mr. Therrell passed away December 30, 1989, at Archusa Convalescent Center.
He is survived by one son, George W. "Billy" Therrell; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Johnson; one son, Billy Johnson of Ellyah, Ga; one step-son, Billy J. Crawford of New Orleans, La.; one step-daughter, Jimmie Fairchild of Meridian; one brother, Lee Johnson of Meridian; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Roberts passed away Friday, January 5, 1990, at Wayne County General Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Roberts of Quitman; one son, Willie Roberts of Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Allie Katherine Dunnam of Eight Mile, Ala.; her mother, Kate Smith of Quitman; two brothers, William T. Smith of Piave, Ms, and J.T. Smith of Quitman; three sisters, Loreane McPhearson of Mobile, Ala., Bertie Mae Sanders of Quitman and Mae Jewel McGee of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Velma Thomas Speights

Services for Mrs. Velma Speights, age 83, of Heidelburg were held Friday, January 5, 1990, at Shady Grove First Baptist Church. Burial was in Vossburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Speights passed away Wednesday, January 3, 1990.
She was a member of Shady Grove First Baptist church where she was Sunday School Secretary for many years and was organizer and counselor of Girls Auxiliary of Shady Grove First Baptist Church and Jasper County Baptist Association.
Mrs. Speights is survived by one son, Duris Speights of Augusta, Ga.; 2 step-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
Ophelia E. Boykin

She is survived by two brothers, Walter S. Boykin of Demopolis, Ala., and Charlie Moody Boykin of Mobile, Ala.; four sisters, Ernestine May of Union, Ida B. Sykes, Mable B. Lucas, and Hettie B. Beckman, all of Quitman; and several neices and nephews.
