A. F. Thrower
Clarke County Times
Meridian, Miss., Dec. 25--A. F. Thrower, the young cotton mil man, who was found at the railroad last Sunday morning in an unconscious condition, suffering from a fractured skull, died today at 12 o'clock, without ever being able to make a statement. While the police are of the opinion that young Thrower died as the result of a murderous assault his death may prevent the mystery from ever being cleared up. However, and inquest will be held tomorrow over his remains, and every possible effort will be made to solve the mystery.

J. H. Naples
Clarke County Times
J. H. Naples, expert tester of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, had both legs cut off by a switch engine in the Central yards at Jackson last week and died. Naples brought two engines from Scarnton, Pa. to that city for the Gulf & Ship Island railroad. He fired the engines and was examining them preparatory to making run tests down the Gulf & Ship Island road when he was struck by the switch engine. He was carried to the Jackson Sanitorium and everything possible was done for him. Naples was a thirty-second degree Mason.

Albert Cllement
Clarke County Times
Allison E. Blade, a 16-year-old boy, at Natchez last week shot and killed his stepfather, Albert Clement, while the latter was in the act of assaulting the boy's mother with an ax. Blade is a tinner's apprentice and his stepfather a hard drinker, who has spent several terms on the county farm. Blade surrendered and is now in jail.

Will Green
Clarke County Times
Will Green, 23 years old, committed suicide last week at Bolivar, a small country town on the river about twenty miles below Rosedale. Green has always lived in Bolivar county, near Catfish Point, his father having died several years ago. No details have been learned concerning the cause, but it is supposed the re-marriage of his mother to Charles Grady, an old German citizen of Bolivar county, troubled his mind until the end came as above stated.

Powell Franklin
Clarke County Times
Powell Franklin, son of J. E. Franklin, a prominent farmer of the eastern part of Lafayette county, was instantly killed by the accidental discharge of his own gun while hunting last week.
