Services for Mildred Bounds, 71, were held May 21, 1990, at 10:00 a.m. from the Fails Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale. The Rev. Johnny Walker and Fred Mosley officiated.
Mrs. Bounds passed away May 18, 1990, at the Mobile Infirmary after a long illness.
Mrs. Bounds was a native of Ruston, LA, a retired music teacher, a resident of Lucedale for the past 30 years, a member of the Red Cross and the Gray Lady Organizations, Past President of the OWC, lived with her husband for 48 years at military bases all over the world, and was a member of the Kappa Kelta sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Fred Howard Bounds of Lucedale; two sons, Michael S. Bounds of Shreveport, LA, and Frederick W. Bounds of Marietta, GA; a sister, Dorothy Lyon of Lake Providence, LA; and three grandchildren.
