Mr. Charles E. Boone, age 65, of Delaware City, DE, formerly of New Castle, DE, died suddenly on Thursday, August 6, 2009.
   A native Delawarean, Mr. Boone was born in Wilmington on April 3, 1944, son of the late Arches C. Boone and Helen Lane Boone. He was a self-employed painter by profession. Mr. Boone was an avid outdoorsman through his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing. He also like going dancing with friends.
   His wife, Margaret Mary Boone, died in 1992. He is survived by his children, Charles E. Boone of Harrington, DE; Brian M. Boone (Vicki) of Wilmington, DE; Lindsay C. Boone of New Castle, DE; and Katie M. Boone of Norristown, PA; grandchildren, Ryan A., Makenzie K., and Ashley F.; and 5 sisters.
   A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to The Makenzie Foraker College Fund, c/o Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home at the address above.
