Roy Virgil Cook, age 66, of Laurinburg, died at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
   The funeral service, with Masonic rites, was held at Boles Funeral Home Chapel. The burial followed with military honors at Hillside Memorial Park.
   Mr. Cook was born July 31, 1935, son of the late Allen and Edna Cook. He was a retired salesman in the Vietnam Conflict and also a retired salesman for Scotland Motors. Mr. Cook was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 305, a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Scottish Shire Club.
   His wife, Lola Gertrude "Gertie" Cook; a son, Jerry W. Quick; brothers A.B. Cook and Marvin Cook preceded him in death.
   He is survived by a son, Billy H. Quick, and wife, Susan; a grandson, Ashley Quick, and wife, Shelley; and a granddaughter, Marian Vaccaro and husband, Michael, all of Charlotte, N.C.
   Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children Inc., 600 College Street, Oxford, N.C. 27565.
