Teresa Moore Lewis

Services for Teresa Moore Lewis, age 40, were held on June 3, 1991, at Mont Rose Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Leland Goodman officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Lewis passed away on June 2, 1991, at Riley's Hospital.
   She is survived by her husband, Danny Lewis, Quitman; one son, Jason Lewis, Quitman; father, John Roy Moore, Quitman; mother, Mrs. Mary Sue Walker, Quitman; three brothers, John Moore, Stone Mountain, Ga.; Sandy Moore, Quitman; Mark Moore, Macon; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dora Avera Martin, Quitman.


James Herbert Saxon

Graveside services for James Herbert Saxon, age 68, of Shubuta, were held May 28, 1991, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rev. Grady Crowell officiated. Wright's Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Saxon passed away on May 25, 1991, at his residence.
   He is survived by his wife, Addie Saxon, Shubuta; one son, Larry Saxon, Punxsvtawney, PA.; one daughter, Linda Pearce, Rossiter, PA.; three brothers, Lamar Saxon, Overland Park, Kansas; Charles Saxon, Bowling Green, KY.; Donald Saxon, Philadelphia, PA.; one sister, Mrs. Marge Stieger, Houston, TX; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Esther  Glass Elliott

Services for Esther Glass Elliott, age 79, of Rt. 1, Quitman, were held on May 27, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Rex Yancey officiated.
   Mrs. Elliott passed away on May 25, 1991, at Jeff Anderson Hospital.
   She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pansy Waltman, Saraland, Ala.; Mrs. Linda Limerick, Meridian; one sister, Inez Long, Quitman; three grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


Wilma Nicholson Gunn

Graveside services for Wilma Nicholson Gunn, age 81, of Ridgeland, Miss., were held May 27, 1991, at the Pachuta Cemetery. Rev. George Skeleton officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Gunn passed away at her residence.
   She was a retired school teacher for Quitman Public Schools, and was a member of the Pachuta Methodist Church.
   She was born in Pauldin, Miss.
   A former resident of Pachuta, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Faith Adkins.
   She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jack Gunn, Pachuta; one son, Jack Gordon Gunn, Clinton; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Sibley, Okolana, Miss.; Mrs. Nell Thornton; Madison, KY.; Mrs. Jessie McRoy, Madisonville, KY.; three grandsons, Brian Adkins, Clinton; Dr.  Todd Adkins, Ridgeland; Mark Gunn, Jackson.


James Paul King

Graveside services for James Paul King, age 80, of Stonewall, were held on May 30, 1991, at the Enterprise Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. King passed away on May 28, 1991, at ConvaRest Nursing Home in Hattiesburg.
   He is survived by a brother, Lee Edward King, Demopolis, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hamrick, Stonewall; Mrs. Beulah Dobbs, Meridian; several nieces and nephews.


Mollie Edna Hayes

Services for Mollie Edna Hayes, age 98, of Quitman, were held on May 19, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Rex Yancey and Rev. Jerry Doggett officiated.
   Mrs. Hayes passed away on May 17, 1991, at her residence.
   She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Winnie Chapman, Waynesboro; Mrs. Ruby Smith, Mrs. Lillian Haney, both of Quitman; five grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; twenty-three great-great-grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were James Homer Chatman, Hank Gandy, Michael Evans, Tress Beard, Bobby Beard, Donnie Neal.


Keda "Kate" Smith

Services for Keda "Kate" Smith, age 97, of Quitman were held May 27, 1991, at Cedar Creek Union Church with burial in the church cemetery. Services were conducted by Mrs. Smith's grandson, Rev. Glenn Roundtree, of Cleveland, Tenn. Special singing provided by grandchildren, Bea and Glenn Roundtree; Ronnie, Betty and Amy Johnston, Lynette Barker was the pianist. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Smith passed away on May 24, 1991, at her residence.
   She was born in Choctaw County, Ala.
   She is survived by two sons, William T. Smith, Richton; Joseph T. Smith, Quitman; four daughters, Mrs. Loreane McPherson, Mobile, Ala.; Mrs. Bertie Mae Sanders, Quitman; Mrs. Mae Jewel McGee, Stillwater, OK.; Mrs. Cathy Cowan, Abilene, Texas; twenty grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were Rufus Chancellor, Joey McPherson, Willie Roberts, Scott Johnston, Todd Johnston, and Steve Clements.
