William Ray Taylor (1954-1964)

William Ray Taylor was born on 24 September 1954 in Quitman, Clarke, Mississippi. He died on 4 January 1964 in Quitman, Clarke, Mississippi from an accidental gunshot wound while hunting. He is buried in Covington Cemetery in Quitman, Clarke, Mississippi.

 William Ray Taylor, age 9, was accidently shot by his brother, Walter Jay, age 7, near his home Quitman, Rt. 3, Jan. 4 at 8:00 a.m.
   Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Northrup Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Chatham and Mazingo officiating. Interment followed in the Covington Cemetery.
   Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Taylor, Quitman, Route 3; two sisters, Lisa Marie and Patricia Ann Toylor, Quitman Route 3; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Chandler, Morton.
   Pallbearers were Tom Hailes, Jr., Lloyd McNeal, Frank McLendon, Jim Culpepper, all members of American Legion Post No. 30 of Quitman.
