Curtis Reeves, 89, of Quitman, MS, passed away on December 25, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on April 29, 1925, to C.J. and Mamie (Schultz) Reeves in Grove Hill, AL. He was a long time employee of City of Quitman.
Curtis is survived by his son, Wayne (Carol) Reeves; daughters, Bernice (Don) Napp, Charlotte (Lester) Fleming, Jackie (Jim) Barnes, Sylvia (Ray) Smith, Joann Roberts, and Kathy (Donnie) Wade; brothers, Edward Reeves and Al Reeves; sisters, Gladys Robinson and Myrte Singley; 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Reeves; daughter, Louise Reeves and parents C.J. and Mamie Reeves.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 27, 2014, 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, 3:00 pm at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Perry Smith officiating.
Burial took place in the Covington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Curtis Lewis, Jr., Brad Reeves, Benjamin Roberts, Jimmy Barnes, Dusty Pritchett, and Colby Pritchett. Honorary Pallbearers were Todd Kemp, Allen Elmore and Zackery Davis.
