   Services were held for Janie Inez Smith, age 68, on March 27, 1991, at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with burial in the Rolling Creek Cemetery. Rev. Charles Lewis and Rev. Vincent Elchman officiated.
   Mrs. Smith passed away on March 25, 1991, at Singing River Hospital.
   She was born on December 28, 1922, in Stonewall, and has been a resident of Jackson County for twenty-five years.
   She is survived by her husband Ernest E. Smith of Escatawpa; two sons and daughters-in-law; Perry and Barbara Smith; Michael and Paula Smith, all of Escatawpa; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Janie and Bubba Thorton, Mobile; Jeannie Smith of Escatawpa; her mother, Winnie Belcher of Stonewall; two brothers, Billy Ray Belcher, Escatawpa and Jackie Belcher, Quitman; a daughter-in-law, Ann Smith, Escatawpa; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
   She is preceded in death by her son, Edward Wayne Smith.
