Mary Cox (1887-1970)

Mary Cox was born on 28 March 1887 in Mississippi. She died on 9 October 1970. She is buried in the Old Souenlovie Cemetery in Pachuta, Clarke, Mississippi. She married Rube Jordan on 9 September 1914 in Clarke, Mississippi.

  Mrs. Mary Cox Jordan, 83, died at her family residence in Enterprise Friday. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Souenlovie Baptist Church with Rev. Buster Killian and Rev. Ronald Mercer officiating. Interment was in Old Church cemetery with Walters Funeral Home in charge.
   She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Belle Eason of Laurel and Mrs. Lucy Brown of Houston, Texas., six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
