Services for Rachel Ellen Strickland will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m. Burial will following in the Mulberry Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Kennedy will officiate.
Mrs. Strickland, 85, a native of Clarke County, died November 27, 2011, at her residence.
She is survived by a son, Clyde Strickland, Waynesboro; daughter, Kathleen Davis, Waynesboro; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lelia Taylor; two sons, James and L.C. Strickland; a daughter Christeen Strickland, two brothers and three sisters.
