Albert James Quimby was born on 12 November 1900 in Stonewall, Clarke, Mississippi. He died on 7 March 1936 in Houma, Louisiana from pneumonia. He is buried in Covington Cemetery in Quitman, Clarke, Mississippi.

Albert J. Quimby died at his residence in Houma, La., Saturday, March 7, after contracting pneumonia three hours before death took him. His body was sent to Meridian by train, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Janie Pearl Quimby and children, where they were met by a cortege of friends.
Mr. Quimby was formerly of Quitman, but has been employed by the Texas Oil Company for the past several years.
Funeral services were held at Northrup Chapel, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. W.E. Green officiating, assisted by Rev. C.A. Savelle. Interment followed in the Covington Cemetery.
Surviving him are: his wife, Mrs. Janie Pearl Quimby; three children, Villa Dean, Marcelle and Betty Jean; his mother, Mrs. Martha Moseley; five sisters, Mrs. Nell Pulley, Mobile, Ala.; Mrs. Gertrude Wade, Stonewall; Misses Bernice, Katherine and Joyce Moseley; one brother, Howard Moseley, all of Quitman.
Pall bearers were: Owen Evans, Jim Wilson, John Davis, Howard Wilkins, J.W. Wallace and C.A. Savelle.
McClellan Funeral Home in charge.
