Graveside services for Myrtle Mayrene Pierce were held January 28, 1995, at Manassa Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated.
Mrs. Pierce, 52, died January 26, 1995.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Pierce, Quitman and her father, M. P. Robinson, Irvington, Alabama.
Velma Williams

The funeral services for Sister Velma Williams, a retired school teacher and housewife, will be held on Wednesday, Febrary 1, 1995, at 12:00 noon at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, Pachuta.
Calling hour was held on Tuesday, January 31, 1995, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church.
She is survived by a son, daughter, six grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, five sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Thomas Slay McCaskey

Services for Thomas Slay McCaskey were held January 30, 1995, at Freeman Chapel with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wayne County. Dr. Shaw Gaddy officiated.
Mr. McCaskey, 81, of Quitman, died January 27, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Nerva S. McCaskey, Quitman; two sons, Thomas Sims McCaskey, Waynesboro and Richard McCaskey, Ocean Springs; and a sister, Mrs. Maxine Luther, St. Petersburg, Florida and three grandchildren.
He was a member of the Mississippi Bankers Association, Lion's Club, Masonic Lodge of Shubuta and Shubuta United Methodist Church.
Barbara R. Blair

Services for Barbara R. Blair were held on January 31, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. John Stevens officiated.
Mrs. Blair, 74, of Quitman, died January 29, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and came to Quitman with her husband in 1946. She was employed by L.C. Sykes, Akins Tire Company, Mississippi Power Company and T.K. Stanley Oil Field Construction. She enjoyed her work and the people she came in contact with. She was also a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Blair, Quitman; two daughters, Christine Buffington, Plano, TX; and Anne Wilson, Corinth; a son, William Blair, Brandon; three sisters, Elvina Tueller, Provo, Utah; Freda Stark, Abilene, TX; and Mary Margaret Lynn, Springfield, PN; a brother, Robert Rasmussen, Paonio, CO; sister-in-law, Jessie Rasmussen, Portland, Oregon; and twelve grandchildren.
Leo F. Slay

Services for Leo F. Slay were held January 26, 1995, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated.
Mr. Slay, 80, of Quitman, died January 23, 1995, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frankie Davis, Brookhaven, and two sisters, Mildred Clark and Hazel Horne, both of Jackson; and three grandchildren.
Ruby Parker Campbell

Services for Ruby Parker Campbell were held January 29, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell, 81, of Quitman, died January 27, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Hubert A. Campbell, Baton Rouge, LA; and Bernice "Pete" Campbell, Quitman; two daughters, Tressie Merle Johnson, Stonewall; and Susan C. Hardin, Moss Point; a sister, Nellie Lee Halbert, Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
