Charles Sylvester Geelan (1884-1955)

Charles Sylvester Geelan was born on 28 May 1884 in Pittstown, Rensselaer, New York. He died in September 1955 in Florida. He is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, Burlington, New Jersey. He married Emma Frances Bailey on 25 February 1914 in New York. He married Rebecca Ogden Whitton in June 1941 in New Jersey.

WEST LONG BRANCH -- Word has been received here of the death in Lakeland, Fla., of Charles S. Geelan, whose wife is Mrs. Reba Whitton Geelan, a former resident here. Mrs. Geelan's father, the late Rev. John B. Whitton, was pastor of Old First Methodist Church here many years ago. He had also served Methodist Churches in Atlantic Highlands, Englishtown and Sea Bright.

Services will be held Friday at the Slover Funeral Home, Palmyra.
