Donald Mackey was born on 16 April 1913 in Wallace, Shoshone, Idaho. He died on 10 November 2002 in New Jersey. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Newfield, Gloucester, New Jersey. He married Sarah Frances Whitton on 29 May 1940 in Virginia.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Sara (nee Whitton). Father of Donna E. Mackey of Voorhees, Janet Marguerite Mackey of Brooklyn, NY and the late Cathleen W. Mackey.

Mr. Mackey was born and raised in Wallace, Idaho and graduated from the Univ. of Idaho School of Engineering. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Society of Sigma XI and Sigma Tau. He was employed as a professional engineer by R.C.A. for over 40 years. He received numerous patents for his advances in technology and inventions in the field of microelectronics and was acknowledged in who's who in Science.

Relatives and friends of the family may call Wednesday, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the EVOY-BANASZ FUNERAL HOME, 129 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights where a Religious Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment Rose Hill Cem., Newfield, NJ.
