Mrs. Elizabeth Kauffman Groff, fifty-one, wife of J. Howard Groff, 401 Maplewood Ave., Wayne, died suddenly at her home on Tuesday.

She taught in the former Rockland Street School before her marriage. She was born in Lancaster County, a daughter of Mrs. Emma Kauffman and the late Christian Kauffman, was graduated from Millersville State Teachers' College, and was a member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church.

Besides her husband and her mother, who resides in this city, she is survived by two children, Marjorie Alice and Janet, both at home; also two sisters, Mae, wife of Jacob Bright, Wayne; and Alice, wife of Frank Diffenbaugh, this city; also a brother, Charles, Akron, Ohio.
