Services for Davis Elmer Downs were held September 13, 1995, at O'Bryand O'Keefe Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, MS. Rev. Jerry Reed and Rev. Howard Reynolds officiated.
Mr. Downs, 72, of Pascagoula, died September 11, 1995, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Scott Downs, Pascagoula; two sons, Larry (Linda) Downs of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Garry (Debbie) Downs of Pascagoula; a brother, Herman Downs, Stonewall; four grandchildren, Russell Downs, Randall Downs, Jeramy Downs and Jessica Downs.
Elise "Honey" Davis

Graveside services for Elise "Honey" Davis were held September 20, 1995, at the Pachuta Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Petty officiated.
Mrs. Davis, 67, of Enterprise, died September 18, 1995, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Frank Chiarello, Warner Robbins, GA; Johnny David Thomas and Jeffery Scott Davis, both of Enterprise; a daughter, Jayne Williams, Enterprise; two brothers, Frankie Fleming, Quitman; Jim Fleming, Warner Robbins, GA; two sisters, Gloria McAdams and Tobie Day, both of Mobile, AL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jack Mercer, Kevin Harper, Eddie Wells, R. E. Williams, A. L. Davidson and Kenneth Busby.
Roy Julian Riley, Sr.

Services for Roy Julian Riley, Sr., were held September 23, 1995, at Union Baptist Church in Quitman with burial in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. John Edwards officiated.
Mr. Riley, 79, of Purvis, died September 21, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. Riley had lived in Purvis since 1970. He was a retired contractor for J & R Construction Company. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, member of the Hamasa Temple in Meridian, and a member of the Union Baptist Church in Quitman.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Riley of Purvis; a daughter, Elizabeth Gomes of Oak Grove; two sons, Roy J. Riley, Jr., of Purvis, and Wylder Riley of Greenwood; a sister, Betty Jane Gilchrist of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Gary McLaughlin, John Gilcrest, John Gary Riley, John Slay, Calvin Riley and Franklin Slay.
Mamie Lee White

Services for Mamie Lee White were held September 23, 1995, at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Wilton Bennett officiated.
Mrs. White, 97, of Quitman, died September 21, 1995, at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Bennie M. White, Quitman; a daughter, Hazel Mason, Louisville, TX; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
William Clinton Wood

Services for William Clinton Wood were held September 26, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Pete Shirley and Rev. T. E. Williams officiated.
Mr. Wood, 89, of Rocky Mount, N. C., died September 23, 1995, at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro, N. C.
Survivors include a son, Other Wood, Rocky Mount, N. C.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
