James Harlan Boswell, 72, well known concert violinist, 210 Cottage St., Cadillac, Mich., died Tuesday, July 4, at his home.
A former resident of 99 W. Union St., Kingston, he was a son of the late James Hutton and Mary Emma Harlan Boswell.
Mr. Boswell, a graduate of Dorranceton High School, studied violin in Wilkes-Barre and New York. He played concert violin throughout the area and taught music for many years. For a time he was dean of the School of Business at Wyoming Seminary. He was last employed by the federal government, retiring several years ago.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jessie Johnson, formerly of West Dorrance Street, Kingston; a brother, Thomas K. Boswell, Kingston, and a niece, Miss Janet Lee Boswell, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral was held today from the Peterson Funeral Home, Cadillac, Mich., with interment in that city.
