Services for Gertrude "Gertie" Banes will be held today at 10 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jaxson Aaron Begnaud
The Meridian Star
Services for Jaxson Aaron Begnaud will be held today at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harriet Simmons officiating.

Joseph Larry Green
The Meridian Star
Services for Joseph Larry Green will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with the Revs. Luther Ott and Brian Ponder officiating. Burial will be in Old Octagon (Ala.) Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
     Mr. Green, 58, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center, South. He was retired from Long's Wholesale. Mr. Green was an avid golfer. He loved the outdoors and was a lifelong University of Alabama football fan.
     Survivors include his wife, Lillian Hinson Green of Meridian; son, Joseph Michael Green and his fiancĂ©, Amanda Jane Thompson, of Huntsville, Ala.; father, Joseph Cecil Green and stepmother, Martha Ezell Green, of York, Ala.; sister, Nancy Pickens and her husband, Jack, of Vicksburg; stepsister, Diane Duke and her husband, Sonny, of Livingston, Ala.; stepbrother, Johnny Rogers and his wife, Mary, of Dothan, Ala.; sister-in-law, Deborah Kelly and her husband, Ron, of Saraland, Ala.; and brothers-in-law, Mike Hinson and his wife, Angela, and their daughter, Emma, of Demopolis, Ala., and Nollie Hinson and his wife, Joanna, of Octagon.
     He was preceded in death by his mother, Nan Reynolds Green; and mother- and father-in-law, Jane and Abram A. Hinson.
     The family request memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the ALS Assocation, 3313 Memorial Parkway S.W., Suite 100, Huntsville, AL35801.
     Pallbearers are Josh Hinson, Abram "Bud" Hinson, Mike Hinson, Christopher Kelly, Rick Kelly and Joe Green.
     Honorary pallbearers are Ron Kelly, Sonny Allen, Roger White, Kyle Adams, Johnny Stone and Nollie Hinson.
     Visitation will be held today, from 6 p.m.-8p.m., at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.

Helen A. "Pacey" Pace

Graveside services for Helen A. "Pacey" Pace will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church, with Mike Townsend, Billy Guinn and Rodger Whobrey officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
     Mrs. Pace, 89, of Pine Springs, passed on to heaven at her home on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of all who knew her.
     She is survived by her daughters, Betty Whobrey and her husband, Rodger, and Pat Townsend and her husband, Mike; her grandchildren, Mike Whobrey Sr. and his wife, Tammy, of California, Ky., Michelle Rowland and her husband, Scot, of Marion, Kim W. Corley and her husband, Chris, of Flora, John Townsend and his wife, Shelley, of Pontotoc, and Jessica Smith Townsend, wife of the late James Townsend, of Hernando; her great-grandchildren, Michael Whobrey Jr. and his wife, Heather K. Kody and Tayler Whobrey, Annakatharine and Alexandria Rowland, Hannah, Devin, Beau, Samantha and her son, Dallas Corley, and Will Townsend; and her honorary granddaughters, Cherish and Bliss Saville.
     She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James Andrew Pace; grandson, James P. Townsend; brothers, Howard, James (Jim) and Robert (Dusty) White; and parents J.E. (Doc) and Minnie White.
     Pall bearers are Mike Whobrey Sr., John Townsend, Michael Whobrey Jr., Kody Whobrey, Devin Corley and Chris Corley.
     Visitation will be today, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
