The Morning News, 12 January 1953
Miss Lulu E. Countiss, 69, formerly of Wilmington, died Saturday in
Sacramento, Calif., where she had lived for the past 12 years.
Miss Countiss was the daughter of the late John and Louisa Countiss. While
living in Wilmington she was employed for a number of years by the DuPont
Company, retiring because of illness. She was a member of Old Swedes Church and
its Woman's Auxiliary.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edith Schaal, with whom she made her home in
Sacramento, and three cousins, Mrs. May Elliott of Philadelphia, Harold Wilkins
of Elsmere Manor, and Mrs. Florence Palfry of Brookland Terrance.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Andrews & Greilich
Funeral Home, Sacramento. Interment also will take place in that city.
