PETAL - Services for Brandi Pearson will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry George officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
   Miss Pearson, 21, of Petal, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was a student at Jones County Junior College and a member of Central Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
   Survivors include her mother Angela Pearson and her husband, Jimmy Hutchinson, of Petal; her father Don Pearson and his wife, Stephanie, of Petal; a brother, Ken Pearson; step-brothers, Josh Young and Erin Hutchinson; a half-sister, Krystina Pearson; a step-sister, Kimberly Pace, all of Petal; her fiancĂ©, James Ross of Biloxi; grandparents, Joe and Mary Semmes and Bob and Peggy Pearson, all of Meridian, and June Pace of Petal. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:30 p.m. -9 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON - Services for Laura Taylor Rigdon will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
   Mr. Rigdon, 57, of Decatur, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson.
   Survivors include her husband, Bernard Rigdon of Decatur; sons, Robert T. Mangum of Decatur and Jason A. Mangum and his wife, Julie, of Newton; a step-daughter, Glenda Barrett and her husband, Joe, of Decatur; a step-son, Al Rigdon and his wife, LeaAnn, of Virginia; a grandson, Cade Mangum of Newton; and a sister, Melba Shepherd of Oklahoma.
   Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mildred Ruth Butler Read

LAUREL - Graveside services for Mildred Ruth Butler Read were held Friday at 1 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Turner officiating. Memory Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Mildred, 80, of Meridian, formerly of Laurel, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Laurel. She was born in Lauderdale County on Aug. 19, 1924. She retired as a nursing assistant and took care of many patients in the Laurel Area during her career. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed feeding the birds and deer around her home. Cats were her favorite neighborhood animal, and she spent many hours caring for and feeding them. She was an excellent high school basketball player, she was left-handed, she had good speed and was difficult to guard. She also loved to sing. She and her sisters, Louise and Margaret sang in high school functions and sang gospel music on Sunday afternoon at city hall in Meridian. When WMOX, a local radio station in Meridian, first aired, Mildred, Louise and Margaret sang each Tuesday night on a program sponsored by Burnley Shirt Factors.
   Her family was very important to her, and she relied on them heavily during her last years. For the past few months, she had been a resident of a personal care home, Wings of the Dove in Meridian, where she had made new friends. She was well-loved by her family and her friends in both Laurel and Meridian. She will be missed. She was a Christian, and her family takes comfort in the fact that they know where she is now and will see her again some day.
   Survivors include her sisters, Louise Stewart and Margaret Knight, both of Meridian; a special niece, Shirley Davis of Meridian; a special nephew, Jerry Taylor; and several great-nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Read.


T. Marble

Services for T. Marble will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Davey Wilkinson and Russell Luquire officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Edinburg.
   Mrs. Marble, 77, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Riley Nursing Center. She retired from Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of State Boulevard Baptist Church.
   Survivors include her sons, Charles Edgar Marble and James O'Neal Marble and his wife, Freida, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Charles Edgar Marble Jr. and his wife, Josh Marble, Cassandra Marble and Britney Eugene Lindley; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Cora Mae Eddins and her husband, Matt, of Pachuta and Johnnie Faye Long of Lauderdale; a brother, George Everette Tillman of Quitman; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Marble.
   Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. -4 p.m. at the funeral home.


Charlotte Still Griffin

Graveside services for Charlotte Still Griffin will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jason Bird officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Griffin, 87, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a long time member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and served as WMU president. She was a retired seamstress for the Bridal Room and was a resident at Aldersgate.
   Survivors include her son, J. Louis Griffin Jr. and his wife, Caryol of Laurel; a daughter, Ann Griffin Coker and her husband, Delbert L., of Meridian; grandchildren, Gregory Scott Griffin and his wife, Lorrie, of Laurel, Paige G. Parker and her husband, Will, of Meridian and Michael Louis Griffin and his wife, Jaime, of Pensacola, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Leighton Griffin, Caroline Parker and Pal Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jamie L. Griffin.
   Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


Robert C. Phillips

UNION - Services for Robert C. "Bobby" Phillips will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gilbert Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
   Mr. Phillips, 58, of Union, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in Ohio. He was a member of the House Masonic Lodge and a Pine Grove Baptist Church.
   Survivors include his wife, Faye Phillips of Union; sons, Tony Phillips and his wife, Patricia, of Union and Terry Phillips and his wife, Christy, of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Julie Page Phillips of Philadelphia and Ashley Flake of Union; his mother, Bettye Sue Gregory and his step-father, Orvil Gregory, both of Philadelphia; a sister, Edna Wilson of Philadelphia and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Earl Phillips.
   Pallbearers will be Mike McCool, Keith Posey, Bob Smith Sr., Bob Smith Jr., Aaron Stokes and Jeremy King.
   Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. -8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Edward A. "Nubbin" Myers will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service chapel. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
   Mr. Myers, 77, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He retired from Weyerhaeuser. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
   Survivors include his wife, Jane Myers of Philadelphia; daughters, Wanda Thompson of Kosciusko and Renee Anthony of Philadelphia; a son, Tony D. Myers of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gladys Culberson of Moss Point; Ruthie Mae Warren, Ann Bridges and Shelby Parker, all of Philadelphia.
   He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Myers and Lamar Myers.
   Visitation will be held today from 3 p.m. -9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for David Lamar Adcock will be held today at 11 a.m. at Freeny United Methodist Church in Leake County with the Revs. Richard Rankin and Skipper Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Adcock, 70, of Carthage, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean Conflict.
   Survivors include his wife, Judy Adcock of Carthage; sons, Ken Adcock of Charleston, S.C. and Skip Stanley of Lewisville, Texas; step-son, Kenneth Parkman of Stacy, Minns.; and a step-daughter, Candy Vowell of Philadelphia and four grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynda Stanley.
