Obituary (Clarke County Tribune, 29 Jan 1981)
Services for Mrs. Mary Lou Cook of Route 1, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Carmichael officiated. Interment was in East Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook died Tuesday in Watkins Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Cook, Quitman; a son, Ronald G. Cook, Quitman; five daughters, Mrs. Janice Stanwood, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Annie Ruth Beard, Dalewood; Mrs. Jeanette Jacobs, Mrs. Carol Morgan and Mrs. Barbara Kennedy, all of Quitman; two brothers, Alton Sykes, Quitman; Coyt Sykes, Mobile; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
