John Moore Sr.

John Moore, Sr., who was about one hundred years old, died March 5th at Matherville and was buried there the following day. He was the father of thirteen children. His oldest child, if living, would be seventy-nine years old. However, only one of his children survives--John Moore, Jr., who is sixty years old.
Deceased was one of the best negroes that the County ever produced and enjoyed the confidence and respect of both white and colored people.
Miss Minerva Ritchie

Mashulaville, - Miss Minerva Ritchie passed away at the home of Mrs. T. Anderson of Fern Springs, Winston County aged 81 years.
She was a most estimable lady and had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years. She leaves one brother, Caleb Ritchie of Noxubeen county. She is also closely related to the Hubbard and Ponder families of Macon and Prof. Hubbard state director vocational training Jackson, Miss.
