Louis D. Murray
The Clarke County Tribune
Services for Mr. Louis Murray, age 71, of Iuka were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
   Mr. Murray passed away Wednesday at the Iuka Hospital.
   He was a Baptist, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
   He is survived by his wife, Gladys Murray of Iuka; two daughters, Margie Prince of Iuka and Thelma Stephens of Tishomingo; three sons, Doug Murray of Burnsville, Charles Murray of Iuka and Elmer Murray of Glen; two sisters, Mary Frances Davidson and Ruby Graham, both of Quitman; five brothers, J.C. Murray of Athens, AL, Allen Murray, Clarence Murray, Clifton Murray, and Clayton Murray, all of Enterprise; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Dorothy N. Comer

Services for Mrs. Dorothy N. Comer, age 59, of Eustis, Florida, were held at Eustis Chapel of Hamlin and Hilbish Funearl Directors on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chester Coker officiating. Private burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
   Mrs. Comer passed away Monday, February.
   She was a secretary at Waterman Medical Center of Eustis and an Episcopalian.
   She is survived by two sons, Thomas Lee Comer, Jr. of Eustis and Jeffrey Hunt Comer of Melbourne, FL; one daughter, Cresse Oliver of Hanlock, North Carolina; one sister, Mrs. R.L. Brakefield of Homer, LA; and five grandchildren. She was a niece of Mrs. Ernestine Sellers and Mrs. Eloise McClinton.


Charlie Haney, Jr.

Services for Mr. Charlie Haney, Jr. were held February 21, 1990, at Antioch Baptist Church with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was at the church cemetery.
   Mr. Haney passed away February 19, 1990, at his residence.
   He is survived by his wife, Lillie Baldwin Haney of Como, MS; five sons, Charles Ray Haney, Royce Haney, Larry Haney, Rickey Haney, all of Quitman, and Jimmy Haney of Houston, Texas; two stepsons, Chris Spears of Como, MS, and Dewayne Baldwin of Meridian; one sister, May Belle Powell of Quitman; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.


Robert L. Pugh

Services for Mr. Robert L. Pugh, age 69, were held at Mathe Funeral Home in Algiers, LA, February 19, following Military services at West Lawn Memorial Park Algiers, LA.
   Mr. Pugh passed away February 15, 1990.
   Mr. Pugh is the son of the late Walter and Myra Pugh of Clarke County. He was born in East St. Louis, Il., and grew up in Clarke County. He later moved to Algiers, LA, serving his country on a U.S. submarine during World War II.
   He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue; two sons, Thomas Roland of California and Clifford David of Gulfport, MS; two daughters, Bobby Sue Pugh and Elva Louise Yacher of Louisiana and five grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Alice Covington of DeSoto, Myra Mable Zewich, La Verne Herrington, both of Louisiana, Emma Mae Burt of DeSoto, Charlotte Marie Reed, Doris Juanita Contago, both of California; one brother, John Douglas Pugh of Louisiana, and the late Russell and Clifford Pugh and numerous nieces and nephews.


Dorothy Buckley

Graveside Services were held for Miss Dorothy Buckley, age 83, of New Iberia, LA, on February 24, 1990, at Enterprise Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
   Miss Buckley passed away February 22, 1990, at Heritage Manor Norht.
   She was a member of Enterprise Methodist Church, and an active member of all functions of Methodist Church Former House as well as mother of Masonic Home for numerous years in Meridian.
   She is survived by several neices and nephews.


Andrew Baldwin McCarra

Services for Mr. Andrew McCarra, age 85, of Quitman were held February 22, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Elim Cemetery.
   Mr. McCarra passed away February 20, 1990, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by seven sons, Rufus McCarra, Paul McCarra and Dwight McCarra, all of Quitman, Russell McCarra and Ray McCarra, both of Pascagoula, Nevle McCarra of Sudell, LA, and James McCarra of New Orleans, LA; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Duvall, Mrs. Joyce Dw and Mrs. Lola Covington, all of Quitman; one brother, Dewey McCarra of Columbus; 28 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
