RANDOLPH, Vt. -- Grace L. Thompson, 79, of Randolph, formerly of Wilmington, Del., died Saturday in a Northfield nursing home.
Mrs. Thompson, a registered nurse, received her nursing diploma in 1930 from the General Hospital School of Nursing in Wilmington. She retired from Ingleside Retirement Home in Wilmington in 1968, and moved to Randolph in 1976.
Her husband, Harlan L., died in 1932. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Black of Randolph; a brother, Frank B. Matthews of Dover, Del.; three sisters, Florence Jenkins and Zelma Maloney, both of Wilmington, and Sarah Cole of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in St. John Episcopal Church, Randolph. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 8 at Day Funeral Home, Randolph. Burial will be in Randolph Center Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Dr. Richard Barrett Scholarship Fund, Gifford Memorial Hospital, Randolph, Vt.
