Services for Mrs. Alice Gilmore, age 62, of Meridian were held July 7, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Jacob, Rev. Basil Adams, and Rev. C.A. Farmer officiating. Burial was at Stonewall Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilmore passed away July 5, 1990, at Riley's Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Meridian, and a retired member of Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. Gilmore is survived by her husband, William K. "Bill" Gilmore, Jr.; two brothers, Davis E. Downs of Pascagoula and Herman E. Downs of Stonewall; two nephews and one great-niece.
Gertrude M. McGee Gatlin

Graveside services for Mrs. Gertrude Gatlin of Rt. 2 Heidelberg were held July 4, 1990, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Sharber Smith officiating. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gatlin passed away July 2, 1990, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Shady Grove First Baptist Church, a former Postmistress of Vossburg Post Office, a resident of Lake Bounds, Rt. 2, Heidelberg, and a member of Eastern Star - Heidelberg.
Mrs. Gatlin is survived by one sister, Mary Harwell of Quitman and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Connie J. Thornton will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 4:00 p.m. at Mount Olive U.M.C. in Carmichael. Burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Advial McKenzie will officiate.
He passed away on Thursday, July 5, 1990, in Shiloh.
Mr. Thornton was born July 22, 1978, to the parents of Earlie Lee and Connie Lee Thornton. He attended Quitman Elementary School. He was a very active and loved person.
He is survived by his mother, Earlie Lee Thornton of Laurel; his father, Connie Lee Thornton of Langsdale, MS; three sisters, Lynette Thornton of Laurel, Lucretia Ann Thornton of Matherville, MS, and June Marie Thornton of Laurel; four brothers, Daniel Demond Clark and Kevin Ricardo Thornton of Langsdale, Robert Carl and Tyler McArthur Lee Thornton, both of Laurel; four step-sisters, Terry Miller of Prichard, AL, Darlene and Barbara Miller of Mobile, AL, and Yvonne Miller of Miami, Fla.; his grandmother, Mary Clark; his grandfather, Verdie Clark; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
