Jerushia Amico

Services for Mrs. Jerushia Amico were held Monday, June 25, 1990, at the St. Mary Baptist Church of Shubuta. The Rev. Curtis Walker officiated. Burial was in the Davenport Cemetery.
   Mrs. Amico passed away June 19, 1990.
   She is survived by three daughters, Henrietta Moore of Shubuta, Barbara J. Kindrell of Canton, OH, Grace D. Stark of Detroit, MI; two sons, Willie Heidelberg and Terry N. Heidelberg, both of Canton, OH; two sisters, Fronia McClendon of Shubuta and Queenie M. McCarty of Denver, CO; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Floyd Isiah Turner

Services for Mr. Floyd Turner, age 79, of Quitman were held June 30, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Thead, Rev. Bob Powell, and Rev. James Irby officiating. Burial was at Stroud Cemetery.
   Mr. Turner passed away June 28, 1990, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Turner; one son, Harold Turner of Meridian; one daughter, Mavis Neal of Quitman; one brother, Arthur Turner of Quitman; one sister, Mrs. Lotter Turner of Needham, AL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


William Edgar Harris

Services for Mr. William Harris, age 86, of Quitman were held June 30, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rex Yancey officiating. Burial was at Pine Grove Cemetery.
   Mr. Harris passed away June 28, 1990, at King's Daughters Nursing Home.
   He served as Mayor of Quitman for 3 terms, served as Representative in the State Legislature for 2 terms, was a member of First Baptist Church, Quitman, and was active in church and civic affairs.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Naomi Harris of Quitman; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Dinic of Meridian; preceded in death by one brother, Sam Harris; and one sister, Mrs. Crystabel Segal of Biloxi.


John Pinkney Denham

Services for Mr. John Denham, age 82, were held June 28, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie McIntyre, Rev. Ed Holloman, and Rev. Randy Makenson officiating. Burial was at Elim Cemetery.
   Mr. Denham passed away June 27, 1990, at Riley's Hospital.
   He is survived by Mrs. Virgie Denham of Quitman; three sons; James Denham of Enterprise, John T. Denham and Aaron Denham, both of Quitman; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Holloman; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.


Rebecca Moore Butler

AMERICUS, GA - Mrs. Rebecca Moore Butler, 88, died April 18 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held April 20 and internment was in Buena Vista Cemetery in Americus.
   Mrs. Butler was the wife of the late James William Butler of Quitman. The couple lived in Quitman for a number of years.
   She was a member of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church and was a retired dietician.
   Survivors include three nephews, Jeffrey B. Moore of Americus, Emory B. Moore of Buena Vista and James E. Moore of Fairfax, Va.; and six nieces.
   Memorials may be made to the Buena Vista United Methodist Church, Buena Vista, GA 3180.
