Donnie Ray Smith

Services for Donnie Ray Smith, age 41, of Route 2 Hartford, were held on September 4, 1991, from the Sardis Methodist Church with Rev. James Lolley officiating. Graveside services were held that afternoon from the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman. Meadowlawn Funeral Home in Hartford, Ala., was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Smith passed away on September 2, 1991, in the Dothan, Alabama, hospital after a short illness.
   He is survived by his wife, Carolyn W. Smith, Hartford; two daughters, Kimberly Brasseal, Tallassee, Ala.; Angela Dearman, Stonewall; one step-daughter, Lori Mitchell, Graceville, Fla.; four sisters, JoAnn Bishop, Hattiesburg; Judie Bounds, Linda Dunnam, Cindy Kane, all of Meridian; five brothers, Ronnie Smith, Heidelberg; Johnnie Smith, Jack Smith, Sam Smith, all of Stonewall; Ricky Smith, Meridian; one granddaughter, Kayle Brasseal, Tallassee, Ala. and several nieces and nephews.


Lyn Lyn T. Mertz

Services for Lyn Lyn T. Mertz, age 19, of Rt. 4 Quitman, were held on September 10, 1991, at Shady Grove Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Thead and Rev. Jessie Griffith officiating Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Ms. Mertz passed away on September 8, 1991.
   She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Fagan, Quitman; one daughter, Jessica L. Mertz, Quitman; one brother, John Kipte, Quitman; two sisters, Johnna F. Adrade, Quitman; Jean T. Kipte, Victorville, Cal.


Paul J. Coker

Services for Paul J. Coker, age 89, of Rt. 2 Shubuta, were held on September 7, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Salem Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Taylor officiated.
   Mr. Coker passed away on September 5, 1991, at Love N Care Personal Care Home.
   He is survived by his wife, Hilda Coker, Shubuta; two daughters, Frances Lowry, Mrs. Pauline Harwell, Shubuta; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.


John Mark Smith

Services for John Mark Smith, age 34, of Rt. 1 Quitman, were held on September 6, 1991, at East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Buckatunna Cemetery. Rev. Albert Creel and Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Smith passed away on September 4, 1991, at Archusa Convalescent Center.
   He is survived by his parents, A.A. and Dartha Smith, Quitman; one daughter, Lori Smith, Quitman; one brother, Atlee Smith, Quitman; two sisters, Diane Crane, Jean Williams, Stonewall; several nieces and nephews.


Charles Wilson Davis

Services for Charles Wilson Davis, age 67, of Rt. 1 Rose Hill were held on September 6, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Hubert Rutherford and Rev. Joe Lofton officiated.
   Mr. Davis passed away on September 4, 1991, at his residence.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen C. Davis, Rose Hill; two sons, Mike Davis, Meridian; David Davis, Rose Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Martin, Mrs. Cheryl Griffin, both of Rose Hill; three sisters, Doris Farr, Brandon; Ouida Rasberry, Meridian; Imogene Bray, Chucky; and six grandchildren.


Juanita Kirkland Pahnka

Services for Juanita Kirkland Pahnka, age 67, of Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Vicksburg, were held on September 9, 1991, at Wright's Funeral home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Randy Rich officiated.
   She passed away at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
   She is survived by three daughters, Montez Lanche, Pleasanton, Ca.; Nita Johnston, Vicksburg; Susan Jabour, Vicksburg; one brother, Charles Kirkland, Quitman.
