John Dan Menasco

Services for Mr. John Dan Menasco, a native of Clarke County and a resident of the Mobile County area for the past 50 years, were held on January 31, 1991, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Serenity Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
   He passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 1991 at his residence.
   Mr. Menasco was a retired carpenter's foreman for Brookley Field. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
   He is survived by his wife, Iness Vickers Menasco, Theodore, Ala.; two daughters, Lula Faye Weavere, Pamplico, S.C., Barbara Ann McLeod, Franklin, Georiga; two sons, William H. Menasco, Baton Rouge, La., John C. Menasco, Theodore; three sisters, Vivian Sisson, Enterprise; Frances Roberts, Pascagoula; Mary Bailey, Slidell, La., ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.


Charles Brewer West
The Clarke County Tribune
Services for Charles Brewer West were held Wednesday, February 13, 1991, at West Hurtt Funeral Home in DeSoto. Rev. Estes Baughman and Rev. Mike Rucker officiated. Burial was in the Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
   Mr. West passed away on February 11, 1991, at his home.
   He was born in Shubuta, and later moved to Dallas, and returned to DeSoto, until he retired in 1980. He owned and operated an auto parts company in DeSoto. He was a member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Lancaster.
   Mr. West was also a veteran of the World War II.
   He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Lena Livingston, Dallas; Nynva Smith, Lancaster; Nelda West, Sulphur Springs; and Inetta West, Dallas. Nieces and nephews include Rita Douglas, Lancaster; Ruby Jean Ivy, Durward McNeal, Mississippi; Earl Smith, Garland, Linda Franks, Dallas, and Frank West of DeSoto.
