Elmer Sherman Guy

Services for Elmer Sherman Guy, age 69, of Quitman, were held on February 24, 1991, at First Baptist Church in Quitman, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Rex Yancey and Marcus Peagler officiated. Wrights Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Guy passed away on February 22, 1991, at Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Center.
   He was born in Washington, Indiana, and lived in Clarke County for fifty years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Men's S.S. Class, Joy Club, and Mature Notes. He was a retired truck shop foreman of New South Ford, Mason-Lodge #308 F & M of Meridian Lodge and a Shriner.
   He was the son of Lee and Leona Guy of Washington, Indiana.
   Mr. Guy is survived by his wife, Evelyn Guy, Quitman; one son, Anthony Lee Guy, Jackson, Miss.; three daughters, Linda Cook, Vicksburg; Catherine Sellers, Quitman; Elmerito Hannah, Mukwonago, Wisconsin; one sister, Rita Williams, Laurel; seven grandchildren, Randy Whitehead, Jackson, Barry Hannah, Mukwonago, Wisconsin; Kim Cook, James Cook, both of Vicksburg; Lyle Lovette, Scott Sellers, Anne Sellers, all of Quitman; two great grandchildren, Heather Whitehead, Connie Whitehead, both of Meridian.


Edward Arthur Chandler

Services for Edward Arthur Chandler, age 12, of Hattiesburg, were held on February 23, 1991, at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery. Rev. Larry Browning, Rev. Randy Vonkanel, and Kathy Norris officiated. Wrights Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Chandler passed away on February 20, 1991, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
   He is survived by his mother, Carol Chandler, Hattiesburg; two sisters, Tina Louise Donavan Beckham, Quitman; Catrina Marie Chandler, Hattiesburg; several nieces and nephews, and a close and dear friend, James Eric Griefe.


Ellis Theodore Lewis

Services for Ellie Theodore Lewis, age 60, of Stonewall, were held on February 26, 1991, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Jasper County, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe Lofton officiated. Wrights Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Lewis passed away on February 25, 1991, at his residence.
   He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Lewis, Stonewall; one sister, Claudia Kemp, Rose Hill; three nieces and one nephew, and a number of aunts and uncles.
