Gilbert Emerson Combest

Services for Gilbert Emerson Combest, age 64, of Stonewall, were held on August 15, 1991, at the Enterprise Baptist Church with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery. Rev. Danny Bullock and Rev. Taylor Wallace officiated. Wright's Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Combest passed away on August 13, 1991, at Anderson's Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Norma Hall Combest, Stonewall; one sister, Mrs. Annie Wheeler, Bay Springs, Ms.; thirty-six nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.


Earle Buford Rochester

Services for Earle Buford Rochester, age 72, of Hinds County were held August 17, 1991, at Lakewood Funeral home with burial in the Lakewood Memorial Park.
   Mr. Rochester passed away on August 15, 1991, at the Methodist Medical Center in Jackson as the result of a heart attack.
   He was a lifelong resident of Hinds County and lived on Spring Ridge Road for the past 32 years. He graduated from Clinton High School and attended Hinds Junior College. A veteran of World War II, he served in France and Germany with the U.S. Army. He was retired from Sears Roebuck and Company. He was an avid RV camper and a member of the Campers on Mission, the Metro Rambling Sams and the El Dorado Camping Club of Edwards. He also held membership in the Clinton Lions Club, the Sears Retiree Club and the Mississippi Cattleman's Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, where he was active in numerous church activities.
   Mr. Rochester is survived by his wife, Jane Pitts Rochester; one son, Buford Rochester, Quitman; two daughters, Martha Gene Rochester Fast, Dallas, Oregon; and Judy Rochester Fain, Raymond, Miss.; one brother, William O. Rochester, Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Betty Rochester Furr, Leland, Miss.; and six grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, R.L. (Jack) Rochester, Chattanooga, Tenn.


Jimmie Dale Chancelor

Services for Jimmie Dale Chancelor, age 48, of Brandon were held on August 8, 1991, at Baldwin-Lee Chapel in Pearl with burial in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
   Mr. Chancelor passed away on August 6, 1991, at the Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, Alabama, of a heart attack.
   He was born in Mobile, Alabama, raised in Stonewall, Miss., and had been a resident of Brandon for 10 years. Mr. Chancelor graduated from Stonewall High School, Jones County Junior College and Delta State University. He was a member of the Rolling Creek Baptist Church, active in the Mississippi Muscle Car Club, Mississippi Street Rodders Club, a former Commissioner and Coach in the Brandon City Yough Baseball Leagues, and an avid golfer and also a member of the Delta State Alumni.
   Mr. Chancelor is survived by his wife, Susan Chancelor, Brandon; one son, Jarod Dale Chancelor, Brandon; parents, John Wesley and Margaret Chancelor, Stonewall; and two brothers, Darrell Chancelor and Timothy Chancelor, both of Stonewall.
