Services for James Milton "Pete" Spivey, age 68, of Stonewall were held on October 17, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Nell Mackey officiated.
   Mr. Spivey passed away on October 14, 1991.
   He is survived by three sons, Larry James Spivey, North Augusta, S.C.; George Milton Spivey, Gary Thomas Spivey, both of Augusta, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Gunn, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Francis Ray Spivey and F.A. Spivey, both of Stonewall; one sister, Louise Mecca; Manitowoc, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren.


Earnestine Ivy Kamper

Services for Earnestine Ivy Kamper, age 82, of Quitman, were held on October 18, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Rex Yancey officiated.
   She passed away on October 16, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   She is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Ivey and Earl Ivey, both of Quitman; and several nieces and nephews.


Charles Warren Brashier

Services for Charles Warren Brashier, age 68, of Quitman, were held on October 16, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in McGowan's Chapel Cemetery. Dr. Rex Yancey, Rev. Jay and Rev. Ed Brashier officiated.
   Mr. Brashier passed away on October 14, 1991, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Doris Brashier, Quitman; one daughter, Ann Kirby, Clinton; mother, Mrs. Leila Brashier, Quitman; one brother, James Brashier, Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Moss, Petal; Mrs. Doris Jay, Pascagoula; two grandaughters, Karla Kirby and Katie Kirby.


William K. Gilmore, Sr.

Services for William K. Gilmore, Sr., age 94, of Stonewall, were held on October 17, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Ercell Boone and Rev. Basil Adams officiated.
   Mr. Gilmore passed away on October 14, 1991, at Gericare Personal Care Home.
   He was a Veteran of WWI and a member of the Stonewall Pentecostal Holiness Church.
   He is survived by his wife, Pearl Pope Gilmore, Quitman; one son, W.K. Gilmore, Jr., Meridian; five daughters, Edna Ruth Kimbrell, Grand Junction, Colorado; Jewell Ready, Walnut Shade, Mo.; Miriam Buchanan, Meridian; Naomi Adams, Petal; Faith Marie Ready, Springfield, Mo.; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
   He was preceded in death by two daughters, Virginia West and Mary Winstead and one grandson, Jeffery West.


Bennie Bernard Singleton

Graveside services for Bennie Bernard Singleton, age 62, of Stonewall, were held on October 9, 1991, at Pine Hill Cemetery. Rev. Roy Garrison officiated.
   Mr. Singleton passed away on October 7, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Louise Singleton, Stonewall; three sons, Larry Singleton, Medford, Oregon; Ronnie Heathcock; Jimmie Heathcock, Enterprise; five daughters, Nell Bozard, Ocean Springs, Ms.; Betsy Ball, Medford, Oregon; Suzanne Sellers, Scooba; Barbara Thomas, Snell; Sandra Smith, Meridian; five sisters, Corine Boyd, Pascagoula; Faye Adams, Memphis, Tn.; Jean Battle; Ruth Cumberline, Philaelphia; Rachel Stewart, Meridian; twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Ida Lee Brock, age 87, of Rt. 2 Shubuta, were held on October 20, 1991, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvalle and Rev. Billy Whitaker officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Brock passed away on October 18, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   She is survived by her husband, Cecil Brock, Shubuta.


Frank Dobbins

Services for Frank Dobbins, age 63, of Rt. 4 Quitman, were held on October 20, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stroud Cemetery. Rev. Jessie Griffith and Rev. Dewey Lolley officiated.
   Mr. Dobbins passed away on October 18, 1991, at his residence.
   He was a member of Melvin Methodist Church.
   He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Dobbins, Quitman; two sons, Ronnie Dobbins, Donnie Dobbins, both of Quitman; one daughter, Melissa Cranford, Quitman; one brother, Elmer Dobbins, Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Ruth Doggett, Quitman and Mrs. Thelma Neely, Mobile; and five grandchildren.


Miles Ponds Roberts

Services for Miles Ponds Roberts, age 89, of Quitman, were held on October 21, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Russell LuQuire officiated.
   Mr. Roberts passed away on October 20, 1991, at Jeff Davis County Hospital in Prentiss.
   He was a resident of Jefferson Davis County Extended Care Center in Prentiss since 1989.
   Mr. Roberts is survived by two sons, Marlan Roberts, Prentiss; Shelton Roberts, Bellamy, Ala.; three daughters, Edith Wise, Shalimar, Fla.; Juanita McGaffin, Raleigh, N.C.; Annette Hoel, Kansas City, Mo.; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
