Lonnie Archie Morris, 68 died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his home in Vancleave. He was born July 5, 1945 in Pascagoula. Mr. Morris retired after serving forty-five years with Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. He enjoyed spending time fishing with his grandchildren and working outdoors. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, George Roy Morris, Sr. and Barbara Eleanor Tillman Morris; wife of forty years, Hilda Sue Morris; brothers, Clyde and Emory Morris; and grandson, Nick Tadlock. He is survived by sons, Joseph Robbins and wife Georgette of Pascagoula, Archie Lonnie Morris and wife Karen Ann of Walden, NY; daughters, Crystal Sue Doner of Ocean Springs, Rebecca Werner and husband Tim of Gautier; brothers, Phillip Morris, Sr., George Roy "Bud" Morris, Jr., Ted Morris; sisters, Helen Whalen, Kathy Pounds, Mary Morris, Esther LeNormand; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at North Gautier Missionary Baptist Church in Gautier. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm from the church with Rev. Duane Ledlow officiating.
