Funeral services for Lloyd B. Johnson, age 63, of Joaquin were held Monday, June 8, 1992, at the Haslam First Baptist Church, Joaquin with Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of Haslam First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Center.
Mr. Johnson died June 4, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Quitman, and was a retired oil field worker and was a seven year resident of Joaquin, moving from Aztec, N.M. He was a member of Haslam First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Johnson of Joaquin, Texas; two sons, Kenneth Johnson and wife, Audrey of Liberty City, Texas and David Johnson and wife, Brenda of Lake Tawokanee, Texas; six daughters, Betty West of Jackson Gap, Alabama; Anya Johnson of Farmington, N.M., Denise Johnson of Joaquin; Phyliss Johnson Moore and husband James of Joaquin; Mona Sprosty and husband Ron of Oklahoma City, Okla; and Amanda Johnson of Joaquin; one sister, Velma McGrew, Quitman; two brothers, Floyd Johnson, Joaquin; Howard Lewis, Bryceland; and fourteen grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mack McCreary, Jim Clark, Baker Fleming, Glenn Guy, Joe Reddock, and Lloyd A. Johnson. Honarary pallbearers were grandsons. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Logansport Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
