Bessie Mae McMillan

Services for Bessie Mae McMillan, age 84, of Mobile, Ala., were held on February 13, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated.
   Mrs. McMillan passed away on February 12, 1992, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
   She was a member of the Fulton Road Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.
   She is survived by three sisters, Martha Harrison, Foley, Alabama; Susie Jackson, Meridian; and Zelphia Reynolds, Quitman; several nieces and nephews.


Hilma West Anderson

Services for Hilma West Anderson, age 81, of Rt. 4 Quitman, were held on February 13, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Mark Thead and Rev. Bob Powell officiated.
   Mrs. Anderson passed away on February 11, 1992, at Rush Hospital.
   She is survived by one son, Clyde D. Anderson, Green County, Mississippi; two daughters, Evelyn Burt, Quitman; Mrs. Onie May Kelly, Wayne County, Mississippi; one sister, Mrs. Elma Brewer, Green County, Mississippi; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


Lee James Speed

Services for Lee James Speed, age 73, were held on February 14, 1992, at Pine Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Roy Garrison officiated.
   Mr. Speed passed away on February 11, 1992, at Jeff Anderson Hospital.
   He is survived by one brother, Robert Speed, Meridian; and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Bonnett, Montgomery, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
   Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mrs. Elsie Allen Ousley

Services for Mrs. Elsie Allen Ousley, age 82, of Meridian, were held on February 14, 1992, at Webb Chapel with burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Choctaw County, Alabama. Rev. Edgar Lee Wright officiated.
   Mrs. Ousley, former resident of Enterprise, passed away on February 11, 1992, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
   Mrs. Ousley was born in Choctaw County, Alabama; was a homemaker and a member of the Druid Hills United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by her seven daughters, Evelyn Bailey, Meridian; Norma Jean Beddingfield, Meridian; Lucille Sofge, Lakeland, Florida; Merle Shepherd, Birmingham, Alabama; Anne Hoadley, Los Angeles, California; Frances Johnson, Spring, Texas; Sharon Kling, Peachtree City, Georgia; four sisters, Irma Ward, Brookhaven, Mississippi; Ina Ruth Doggett, Toxey, Alabama; Maggie Chenault, Meridian; Annie Laura Sims, Meridian; two brothers, Morris and James Allen, Meridian; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
   Her grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
   James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Dorothy Opal Green

Services for Dorothy Opal Green, age 86, of Broadmore Nursing Center, were held on February 16, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Shubuta Cemetery. Rev. John Mackey, Rev. George Skelton and Rev. John Brown officiated.
   Mrs. Green was born in Success, Arkansas. She passed away at Broadmore Nursing Center.
   She is survived by three sons, Horace Green, Pachuta; Albert Green, Shubuta; David Green, Shubuta; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Donald, Meridian; Mrs. Billie Mae Cole, Richmond, Virginia; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.


Velma Williams Dority

Services for Velma Williams Dority, age 87, of Stonewall, were held on February 18, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Billy Brumfield officiated.
   Mrs. Dority was born in Clarke County. She passed away on February 15, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   She is survived by one son, Ted R. Dority, Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the H.C. Watkins Refurbishing Fund c/o Clarke County Chamber of Commerce in Quitman.


Annie L. Massingale

Services for Annie L. Massingale, age 93, of Rt. 4 Meridian; were held on February 7, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellow's Cemetery. Rev. Bill Webb and Marcus Peagler officiated.
   Mrs. Massingale passed away on February 5, 1992, the day before her 94th birthday.
   She is survived by two sons, Joe Massingale, Jr., Pensacola, Florida; George Massingale, Meridian; one daughter, Mrs. Rida M. Hill, Meridian; two brothers, Ted Arrington, DeSoto; Arthur Arrington, Delta City, Miss.; one sister, Edna Stewart, Laurel; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
   Serving as pallbearers were Carter Jones; grandsons, Bob Hill, George Hill, Jerry Hill, Harold Hill and Justin Massingale, III.


Mary Bernadeen Collins

Services for Mary Bernadeen Collins, age 70, of Rt. 4 Quitman, were held on February 17, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Moffett and Rev. Dennis Coats officiated.
   She was born in Clarke County. Mrs. Collins passed away on February 15, 1992, at F.G. Riley Memorial Hospital.
   She is survived by four sons, Williard Collins, Stonewall; Edward Collins, Houston, Texas; Dale Collins, Toomsuba; Danny Joe Collins, Quitman; two daughters, Barbara Ford, Quitman; Mrs. Wanda Gayle Moulds, Quitman; two brothers, Vernon Roberts, Houston, Texas; Cletius Robets, Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Bonner, Waynesboro; Mrs. Gertrude Cooper, Waynesboro; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
