Mary Allie Hinson

Services for Mary Allie Hinson were held October 3, 1992, at Hebron Ridge Baptist Church with burial in the Shady Grove Church of God. Rev. G.W. Moffett and Rev. Claude Killan officiated.
   Mrs. Hinson, age 87, of Rt. 3 Quitman, passed away on October 1, 1992, at Rush Hospital.
   She is survived by two sons, Henry T. Williams and Eddie A. Williams, Jr., both of Quitman; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Shoemaker, Louin, MS; and Mrs. Ruth Payne, Mobile, AL; one sister, Mrs. Ida Williams, Meridian; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.


Ruth Mae Pearson

Services for Ruth Mae Pearson were held October 2, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Roy Garrison officiated.
   Mrs. Pearson, age 66, of Rt. 2 Enterprise, passed away on September 30, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   She is survived by five sons, Jerry Pearson, Stonewall; James C. Pearson, Edward W. Pearson, both of Enterprise; George T. Pearson, Quitman; Michael Pearson, Venice, LA; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Fekety, Mrs. Jean Stewart, both of Mobile, AL; Mrs. Louise Wilkins, Enterprise; Mrs. Mona Grayson, Quitman; Mrs. Betty Mazingo, Gautier; four brothers, Thomas Heard, Stonewall; Raymond Heard, Decatur; Earl Peck, Laurel; Charles Cox, Quitman; three sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Crenshaw, Hobbs, NM; Mrs. Molly Tanner, Stonewall and Mrs. Alice Schrimpshire, Laurel; thirty-four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


Allene G. Blair

Services for Allene G. Blair were held on October 3, 1992, at Shubuta United Methodist Church with burial in the Shubuta cemetery. Rev. Shaw Gaddy, Rev. Jimmy Harrison and Rev. R.G. Hancock will officiate.
   Mrs. Blair, age 89, of Shubuta, passed away on October 1, 1992, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel of heart failure.
   She was a retired English teacher with the Clarke County Schools. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She was an active member of Shubuta United Methodist Church. She had been a residence of Laurel since 1988.
   Mrs. Blair is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Anderson of Laurel; four grandchildren, Kathy A. Dearman of Laurel; Thomas L. Anderson of Gulfport; Jeffery Glenn Anderson of Laurel; and Suzanne A. King of Salem, AL; and eight great-grandchildren.
   Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Thomas D. Blair.
   Pallbearers were Reggie Dearman, Rodney King, Thomas L. Anderson, Jeffery Dearman, Jim Blair and Joe Blair.


Johnnie Pearl DeBruce Hunter

Mrs. Johnnie Pearl DeBruce Hunter, age 82, a retired Clarke County Educator, passed away on Friday, October 2, 1992, at Riley Memorial Hospital. Services will be held October 7, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. at the Old Enterprise Baptist Church in Enterprise, MS, and burial in the Musgrove Cemetery. Rev. W.J. Nathan will officiate.
   Mrs. Hunter was a graduate of the Meridian Baptist Seminary and received her BS in Elementary Education from Jackson State College in 1958 and attended the University of Arizona and the University of Southern Mississippi receiving certification in Library Science. She taught elementary education in the Enterprise School System and retired in 1974 as librarian, having completed twenty-eight years of service in the Enterprise School System.
   She was active in her community, serving as Sunday School teacher and church financial secretary. She organized a Girl Scout Troop in Enterprise, was an active member of the Clarke County Chapter of the Jackson State Alumni, was a charter member of the Musgrove Cemetery Council, and was one of the organizers of the Concerned Citizens of Enterprise, Inc. She was a member of the Society of Mississippi Archivists and of the Mississippi Historical Society. She wrote articles on the history of Enterprise and was included in the 1990 edition of American Poetry Anthology.
   She was the widow of Nathan Hunter, Sr. Survivors include one son, Nathan Hunter, Jr., his wife, Patricia, and son Nathan III of Jackson; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Hunter Ross, husband Alfred R., sons, Robert George and Alfred DeBruce and daughter, Rosalind LaPearl, of Enterprise; Mrs. Mary Hunter Hill, husband John, daughters, LaJulia Marie and Monice Patrice of Jackson; and Dr. Carrie Pearl Hunter of North Potomac, MD; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Puckett, Sacramento, CA; Mrs. Rhoda (Sylvanus) Giles, Detroit, MI; Mrs. Carrie Giles, Waynesboro; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Hunter, Enterprise.
   Enterprise Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Louis B. Jamison

Services for Louis B. Jamison, age 72, of Moselle, were held October 2, 1992. Mr. Jamison passed away on September 30, 1992, following a heart attack.
   He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Evans Jamison; a daughter, Louise Shoemake; four grandchildren; three sisters, Reba Whitley, Quitman; Ann Strickland, Ellisville; and Mavis Fairchild, Petal.
   Mr. Jamison was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Bloomfield and a few days ago another sister, Bessie Jones of Ellisville, passed away.
   Burial was in the Pilgrim Cemetery. Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mary Louise Tims McLemore

Services for Mary Louise Tims McLemore, age 74, of Stonewall, were held on October 6, 1992, at Union Baptist Church with burial in the Union Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Allen and Rev. John Edwards officiated.
   Mrs. McLemore passed away on October 4, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   She is survived by one son, Harmon Allen McLemore, Jr., Alliceville, AL; one daughter, Margaret Fell, Marietta, GA; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Walters, Meridian; two grandchildren, Joe Hollis and Kimberly Cato, both of Stonewall; and two great-grandchildren.
