Services for James Lamar Goldman, age 70, of Rt. 1 Quitman, were held on January 2, 1992 at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Taylor Wallace and Rev. Billy Brumfield officiated.
Mr. Goldman passed away on December 31, 1991, at his residence. He was born in Newton County, Miss. He was a veteran of WW II; a member of the Vintage Wheels Antique Car Club; owner and operator of J & J Trucking for twenty-two years; and a member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
He is survived by his wife, June R. Goldman, Quitman; two sons, Michael Goldman, Meridian; Ronnie Goldman, Stonewall; one daughter, Diane Griffin, Meridian; two brothers, John Goldman, Quitman; Clarence Goldman, Heidelberg; three sisters, Claudia Mae Wilkins, Mobile, Ala.; Bessie Boyd, Enterprise; Irene Hudson, Columbus, Ms.; eight grandchildren: Sonya and Kelli Fleming; Natalie and Talbert Goldman; Justin and Eli Griffin; Stephanie and Reggie Goldman.
Serving as pallbearers were: Jack Lee, Perry Smith, Sonny Spivey, Roy White, Ancil Chancelor and Arthur Goldman, Jr.
Loyd Holifield

Services for Loyd Holifield, age 59, of Rt. 3, Quitman, were held on January 3, 1992, at Corinth Assembly of God Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Johnny Mosley, Rev. Grant Duncan and Rev. Charles Cottonbrook officiated.
Mr. Holifield passed away on January 1, 1992, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Holifield, Quitman; two sons, Danny Holifield, David Holifield, Quitman; mother, Odelle Holifield, Quitman; five brothers, Cliff Holifield, Jimmy Dale Holifield, both of Mobile, Ala.; Tom Holifield, Leroy Holifield and Erwin Holifield, all of Quitman; two sisters, Mary Lou Carney, Mobile, Ala.; and Lucile Schrimpshire, Quitman; and four grandchildren.
Nellie Tew Odom

Mrs. Nellie Esther Tew Odom, age 73, passed away at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross after a lengthy illness.
A native of Wayne County, she lived in Clinch County for the past 28 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Statenville Methodist Church. Her father was the late Daniel Tew. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Odom.
She is survived by her mother, Ida Roberts Tew, Quitman; three daughters, Anna Odom, Folkston; Lois Moore, Homerville; and Lucille Eickhorn, Fargo; four sons, Charles Odom, Virgil Odom, Dean Odom and Maurice Odom, all of Fargo; three sisters, Vivian Lindsey, Waynesboro; Lillian Norris, Quitman; Juliane Glass, Greensburg, La.; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and several other relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Fargo Church of God with the Rev. Carolyn Warren officiating. Burial was in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery.
