Glynn Robinson

Services for Glynn Robinson were held on December 7, 1992, at Stonewall Assembly of God Church with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Hayward Youngblood, Rev. C.A. Farmer and Rev. J.C. Burks officiated.
   Mr. Robinson, age 76, of Stonewall, passed away at his home in Stonewall on Saturday, December 5, 1992, and was pronounced dead at Riley Memorial Hospital. He was born in Choctaw County, Alabama, March 15, 1916, the son of Benjamin Erquard and Mollie Early Robinson. He was a member of the Stonewall Assembly of God where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.
   A Director of H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital, Mr. Robinson was serving on the board when the hospital was built. He was on the first Advisory Board of Bank of Quitman, a Great Southern National Bank, and served on the Choctaw Area Council of Boy Scouts of America. A charter member of the Stonewall Lions Club, he was twice President of that organization. He served Clarke County in many areas: as a Clarke County Welfare Board Member, on the Clarke County Planning Commission. The Clarke County Development Committee, the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce, and the Harmony Water Association. Also serving on the East Mississippi Planning Commission and the Mid-Mississippi Industrial Foundation, Mr. Robinson was listed in Who's Who in Mississippi.
   Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertie Robinson, Stonewall; one son, Eric Robinson, Quitman; three daughters: Ramona Smith, Rebecca Ledbetter, and Deborah (Robinson) Robinson, all of Stonewall; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Irby Robinson, Quitman; three sons-in-law: Wylie Smith, Keith Ledbetter and Benny Robinson, all of Stonewall; three sisters: Della Todd and Wilba Gilbert, both of Mobile, and Ethel Long, Stonewall; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
   Pallbearers were Gilford Dabbs, Roy Dabbs, Hobby Hammack, Charlie Long, Martin Long, Lavon Pugh, Charles Shepherd, and Robert Smith.


Robert Edward (Edd) Kennedy

Graveside services for Robert Edward (Edd) Kennedy were held on Saturday, December 5, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. at McGowan's Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in the Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. J. Hardee Kennedy officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Kennedy, age 82, of Petal, MS, died Thursday, December 3, 1992, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. A native of the Harmony Community in Clarke County, he had lived in recent years at Petal.
   Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude Dorman, Denham Springs, LA; Gretchen Coalson, Biloxi; one brother, J. Hardee Kennedy, Meridian; twelve nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Robert Kennedy and Henrietta Hardee Kennedy of the Harmony community.


D.K. Rudder

Services for D.K. Rudder were held on November 25, 1992, at Bumpers Funeral Home, Butler, AL, with burial in the Provident Cemetery. Rev. Leland Goodman officiated.
   Mr. Rudder, age 78, of Rt. 1 Quitman, passed away on November 22, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by two sons, David Rudder, Fort Worth, TX; and Greg Rudder, Long Beach, Ms, and five grandchildren.


Alton Ray Walker

Services for Alton Ray Walker were held on December 3, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Wesley Landrum officiated.
   Mr. Walker, age 77, of Rt. 1 Rose Hill, passed away on December 2, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dovie H. Walker, Rose Hill; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Ray Reynolds, Rose Hill; and one sister, Mrs. Wilda Szmyd, Baton Rouge, LA.


Marie Underwood (Kit) Tindle

Services for Marie Underwood (Kit) Tindle were held December 8, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Providence Cemetery. Rev. Bob Powell officiated.
   Mrs. Tindle, age 63, of Quitman, passed away on December 6, 1992, at her residence.
   She is survived by her husband, Mr. Lavelle Tindle, Quitman; one son, John Walter Underwood, Houston, TX; five daughters, Mrs. Patsy Holloman, Quitman; Mrs. Peggy Dykes, Mrs. Sue Dykes, both of Citronelle; Mrs. Linda Holley, Houston, TX; Mrs. Linda McQueen, Quitman; four brothers, Mr. Hayward Smith, Mobile, AL; Mr. Wilburn Smith, Mr. Leland Smith, both of Quitman; Mr. Allon Smith, Meridian; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Varden and Mrs. Lavada Buffington, both of Quitman.
