Austin Olan Cochran was born on 10 August 1915 in Mississippi. He died on 23 February 1952 in Quitman, Clarke, Mississippi.

 Austin Olan Cochran, 36, of Stonewall, Miss., died Feb. 23 at Watkins Memorial hospital.
   Mr. Cochran was a native of Jones county and had resided in Stonewall for the past seven years.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Cochran; a daughter, Katherine Ann Cochran; one son, Dennis Olan Cochran; and six brothers, Thad and Robert Cochran, Hickory, Miss., Thurman Cochran, Talladega, Ala., Ossie Cochran, Gloverville, S. C., Ulvie Cochran, Stonewall, and Ralph Cochran, Phoenix City, Ala.
   Funeral services were held Feb. 24 at 3:00 p.m., from Northrup Chapel with the Rev. Sollie I. Smith officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jodie Dunham. Burial followed in the Covington cemetery.
   Active pallbearers were Albert Williams, W. M. Lavell, Monroe Mason, Carlos Kufel, Ernest Smith and J. E. Rhoden.
   McClellan-Walters Funeral Home in charge.
