 Services for Nellie Kate Sowers were held December 5, 1996, at Northrup Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the Covington Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Parker, Rev. Jake Williams, Rev. Ken Brown and Rev. Allen officiated.
   Mrs. Sowers, 80, of Stonewall, died December 2, 1996, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
   Survivors include two sons, Dennis Cochran and Timothy Sowers, both of Stonewall; a son-in-law, E. J. Dunnam, Quitman; two daughters, Maxine Dunnam, Quitman; and Ann Cochran, Philadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Kay Sowers, Stonewall; brother, John Taylor and a sister, Sue Arrington, both of Quitman; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
