   Graveside services for Alex Fortner "Tip" Taylor were held on April 2, 2001, at King Cemetery in Clarke County.The Rev. Gene Pickern officiating.
   Mr. Taylor, 69, died April 1, 2001, at 392 Taylor Lane in Quitman.
   Survivors include a wife, Majorie Taylor of Quitman; two sons, Alex F. Taylor, Jr. of Quitman, Leith Lawrence Taylor of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Evelyn Majorie Hopkins and Jewel Kay Wilder both of Quitman; three sisters, Alice Evans of Quitman, Tina Dempsey of Kentucky, Billie McDonald of Quitman; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Gideons or American Cancer Society.
