Doris Kathleen Beckman

Services for Doris Kathleen Beckman were held on August 25, 1993, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Manassa Cemetery. Rev. Julius Harberson officiated.
   Mr. Beckman, age 71, of Rt. 3 Quitman, passed away on August 23, 1993, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   Survivors include her husband, Curtis Beckman, Quitman; one son, Billy Beckman, Pachuta; two daughters, Mackie Smith, Quitman; and Judy Coleman, Vossburg; two brothers, Max Ray Bonner, Mt. Vernon, WA; and J. H. Bonner, Red Bluff, CA; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.


Lola Lois Williams

Services for Lola Lois Williams were held on August 25, 1993, at Stonewall Baptist Church with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Dr. Albert McMullan and Rev. Jerry Doggett officiated.
   Mrs. Williams, age 72, of Stonewall, passed away on August 23, 1993, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
   Survivors include her husband, Rev. Jake Williams, Stonewall; one son, Jeffrey Williams, Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Jeanie Thomas, Stonewall; two sisters, Joyce Jones, Meridian; Ruth Flowers, Stonewall; and four grandchildren.


Thomas Francis Carter

Mr. Thomas Francis Carter, Sr., age 84, died at Lee Manor Nursing Home in Tupelo after an extended illness. He was a native of Quitman and had been a resident of Tupelo since 1946. From 1942 to 1946 he was an Investigator with the Gulf Ordance Plant in Prairie and was retired with the Big-4 Pontiac Dealership in Tupelo as the Parts Manager. He attended the University of Mississippi, was a Mason and a Shriner and was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church where he taught in the men's Sunday School Class.
   Services were held at Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. James R. Chathum officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
   Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Mayo Carter of Tupelo, two sons, Thomas F. Carter, Jr., of Honolulu, Hawaii, and James M. Carter of Huntsville, AL; one brother, H. Russell Carter of Sherman, TX; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
   Pallbearers were Tommy McDaniels, Steve McDaniels, Jim Jackson, Larry Harris, Ronnie Sullivan, and Charles Warren.
   Honorary pallbearers were members of the E.L. Maxcy Sunday School Class at Harrisburg Baptist Church.
   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harrisburg Baptist Church, 1800 West Main St., Tupelo, 38801.


Carmen Brown Wilson

Services for Carmen Brown Wilson were held August 23, 1993, at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. Taylor Wallace and Rev. Frank Trotter officiating. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery with Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
   Mrs. Wilson, age 88, of Enterprise, died August 19, 1993, at McNeil Personal Care Home in Enterprise. She was a native of the Goodwater Community and was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She was retired from J.C. Penney.
   Survivors include a niece and her husband, Mary Brown Aldridge and John Aldridge; a grandson, Wes Aldridge; her cousin and dear friend, Mattie Dell Davis; and other cousins.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gully Wilson; two brothers, Porter Brown and Earlie Brown; and her parents, Pinkney E. Brown and Keetie Cross Brown.
   The family has requested that memorials be made to the Enterprise Baptist Church.
   Pallbearers included Richard Lee, Michael Elfring, Jim Stockman, Wes Aldridge, Charles Speed, Joe Burt, Billy Little and E. G. McPhearson.


Carl Rex Carmichael

Services for Carl Rex Carmichael were held on August 28, 1993, at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Ashford and the Rev. Jay officiating. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
   Mr. Carmichael, age 72, of Meridian, died Thursday, August 26, 1993, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Oakland Heights Masonic Lodge.
   Survivors include his wife, Eva Carmichael of Meridian; a daughter, Cathy Graham of Meridian; a son, Billy C. Carmichael of Swainsboro, GA; two sisters, Ruth Dear and Mildred Downey, both of Quitman; a brother, Clarence Carmichael of Quitman; four grandsons and two granddaughters.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Carmichael; his mother, Willie Pear Carmichael; and a sister, Eva Boney.
   Pallbearers included Tony Todd, Travis Boney, Larry Boney, Larry Williams, Bruce Todd, Ronnie Todd and Donnie Dobbins.
