Services for James R. Taylor were held February 6, 2008, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the King Cemetery. Rev. Parker Chancelor officiated.
Mr. Taylor, 66, of Quitman, died February 3, 2008, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 10, 1941, in Clarke County to James Lee and Ethel Mae Mosley Taylor. He was an offshore worker, and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his loving sister and caretaker, Betty Lou Taylor Shaw and Jimmy, Quitman; three more sisters, Myrtle and Bill Beckman, Pachuta; Jimmy and Peggy Whitaker, Quitman; and JoAnn Phillips, Mobile, Ala.; three brothers, Ricky Leland and Charlotte Graydon, Quitman; Lamar and Ginger Graydon, aunt, Rachel Taylor Melton, Butler, Ala.; 13 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Cory Odom, Richard Barnett, Bobby Higginbotham, Keith Williams, Sidney Hearn and Steve Odom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Taylor and Ethel Mae Robinson; a brother, Robert Lamar "Buddy" Graydon.
