Flora Bell Cleveland Davis

NEWTON - Services for Flora Bell Cleveland Davis were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brian Pennington and John West officiating. Burial was in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
   Mrs. Davis, 89, of Newton, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of First Methodist Protestant Church. She was the first resident to enter congregate housing in Newton and has lived there for 24 years.
   Survivors include her sons, Ronal Davis and his wife, Delora, of Newton, Larry K. Davis and his wife, Sonda, of Newton; grandchildren, Steven Davis of Newton, Tina Jordan of Taylorsville and Stacey Davis of Ridgeland; great-grandchildren, Andrew Holder and Kelby Jordan, both of Taylorsville, Albany Davis and Joshua Davis, both of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence V. Davis; her parents, Charles and Fronnie Pinkham Cleveland; and a grandchild, Kathrine Davis.
   Pallbearers were Johnny Gaines, Jerry "Buster" Bounds, Jr., Steven Davis, Lee Jordan, Henry Carmichael and Donny Cleveland.
   Honorary pallbearers were the men of First Methodist Protestant Church, Bill Matthews and Steve Hedrick.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Maudie Lee Pugh were to be held today at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Service Chapel with the Revs. Chris Shelton and David Bankson officiating. Burial was to be in Morrow Cemetery in Neshoba County.
   Mrs. Pugh, 71, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Hospice in His Hands in Leake County.
   Survivors include her daughter, Emily Pugh Anderson of Madison; a son, Randall Pugh of Philadelphia; four grandsons; sisters, Rita Mullett of Houston, Texas and Jean Hawkins of Morton; and a brother, the Rev. Jimmy Bay Elam of Raymond.
   Memorials may be made to a favorite Christian charity.


Robert Milton Yates

MILLBROOK, Ala. - Masonic graveside services for Robert Milton Yates will be held today at 11 a.m. at Brookside Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Brookside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Yates, 84, of Prattville, formerly of Toomsuba, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004.
   Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Georgia Faye Yates of Prattsville; a daughter, Arlene Manning and her husband, Mike, of Prattsville; sons, Charlie Yates and his wife, Mary, of Robertsdale, Austin Yates and his wife, Lori, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla. and Alan Yates and his wife, Sheila, of Quitman; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Sammie Lee Wallace

SEBASTOPOL - Services for Sammie Lee Wallace will be held today at 2 p.m. at Naniah Wayia Mennonite Church in Louisville with the Revs. Mark Roth, Harry Woder and Ethan Good officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Wallace, 55, of Louisville, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
   Survivors include his common law wife, Marie Cotton of Louisville; a daughter, Sharon Wallace of Philadelphia; step-daughters, Phyllis McMillan and Edna Cotton, both of Philadelphia; a sister, Willie May Jim of Choctaw; a brother, J.B. Wallace of Choctaw; and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wallace.


Linda N. Goss Bowen

MILTON, Fla. - Services for Linda N. Goss Bowen were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Stokes officiating. Burial was in Memory Park Cemetery.
   Mrs. Bowen, 54, of Milton, formerly of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, in her home.
   Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Hansford Bowen; daughters, Michelle and Brandi, all of Milton; one grand-daughter; sisters, Joyce Hurtt of Bailey and Marian Purvis of Meridian; a brother, Clyde "Sonny" Goss Jr. of Collinsville; and her father, Clyde Goss Sr. of Meridian.
   She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Hughes.


Ella Odell Edwards

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Ella Odell Edwards will be held today at 11 a.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. Keith Hall and John Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Henry's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
   Mrs. Edwards, 90, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Neshoba County General Hospital. She was the owner and operator Edwards Laundry.
   Survivors include her daughter, Frances Lewis and her husband, Gary, of Philadelphia; a son, Clayton Edwards and his wife, Pat, of Sebastopol; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Rob Edwards.
