Services for Albert Dawson Harkey 69, who died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian, were held Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Forest with burial in Harperville Memorial Park in Scott County. The Rev. Bobby Warren and the Rev. Martin Williams officiated. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
   He was a lifelong resident of Scott County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
   He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Mitchell Harkey and a daughter, Loyce Mayes.
   Survivors include his wife, Mary Chandler Harkey; son, Miller Harkey and his wife, Karen, of Harperville; daughters, Gayle Whitesell of Harperville, Debbie Jones, Forest; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   Pallbearers were John Barfield, Matthew Poole, Billy Mac Stubbs, Bennie Ray Sessums, Leon Thrash and Pete Risher. Honorary pallbearers were Johnnie Thrash, Johnny Barfield and the Men of Calvary Baptist Church.
